Interesting story about how Cortez, from the Spanish empire, came to rule the Aztec Empire. He first acted friendly, as though he came in peace and asked to meet the emperor. When brought to the emperor, he ordered his man to kill the bodyguards, then held the emperor hostage and became a puppet emperor to Cortez. Cortez knew that he was outnumbered, so he hid in there, holding the emperor hostage for months, and ordered his man to explore the city and find vulnerabilities. After a while, the Aztec elite revolted against Cortez and elected a new emperor. Cortez was then driven out of the capital. But by then he already found out the vulnerabilities of the city, and exploited it, psychoing the people to revolt against the emperor. The people, who already have some disdain for the emperor, joined in the revolt, thinking that being ruled by the spaniards would be better. Cortez and his people then won and rule over the Aztec empire.

Pizzaro then also used this same method to rule over the Inca empire.

Many eastern empires showed no interest in exploring the world, and thought that what they have is all to it to this world. Only in the 20th century did non-European cultures adopted a global vision, and this was one of the crucial factors for the collapse of the European hegemony.
